In a seven-month project, HTK cooperated closely with the planning engineers of Continental Teves AG, Frankfurt, to develop, design, manufacture, deliver and commission a new system. HTK manufactured both the complete cleaning system and the conveyor equipment.
In the cleaning unit, the trays are conveyed individually suspended from
receptacles. Special grippers have been designed to handle the trays on both
sides of the cleaning unit. These grippers meet the requirements for accuracy
of positioning and a high throughput.
Each receptacle oscillates through the treatment zones, thus preventing most of the treatment media from being carried away in the scooping areas of the trays and accelerating the drying process.
The pressure of the pump and the nozzle systems, the temperature of the
different treatment media and the drying temperature are matched exactly
to the plastic tray material (ABS, PE, PP, PS, electrically conductive).
